RIGHTS QUARTERBACK

I’m a label that’s looking to reduce operating costs in an effort to operate more lean. Can RoyaltyAmp’s Rights Quarterback help me?

Absolutely. The truth is, most labels (and publishers) are currently spending more than they need to between in-house and with outside vendors. We can share time and costs across multiple clients with our fractional program.

I don’t really understand what a fractional program or service is. Can you explain.

Most indie labels, publishers, and songwriters do not require a team of people to manage their catalog metadata, registrations, licenses, and royalty collections. Our one RoyaltyAmp Rights Quarterback team can successfully handle many clients and we are able to spread that cost across all clients. This means they spend some portion of their time on each client and each client pays a fraction of the cost. Everyone wins.

We manage our catalog in Excel spreadsheet and use a distributor for our recordings management. Is there any benefit to the Rights Quarterback service?

We’ve found, if your catalog is earning $25,000 or more in royalties, sync and other licensing income, the Rights Quarterback service is of great value. Your Rights Quarterback will identify errors, omissions, and opportunities in what you are currently earning and what you could be earning. Your Rights Quarterback will take your current catalog and data and utilizing RoyaltyAmp’s other services, enhance its accuracy, locate rights assertion opportunities and claim royalties.

I ‘m a self-published songwriter and I use one of those big online publishing administration services. Will I earn more with RoyaltyAmp’s Publishing Administration service?

Yes. Our clients will tell you we collect A LOT MORE than their previous online publishing administrator.

Most of those publishing services are “passive” (and not just because they don’t take your calls), they’re passive because they simply take the data you give them collect on that, no mining, no analysis, no enrichment. This means your royalties are less than they should be.

If our distributor is already performing YouTube claiming for our label, is their any benefit to the RoyaltyAmp Song Sweep service

Over one hundred million videos containing music are uploaded to sites each week, over 100,000 new songs are uploaded to Spotify each day. Almost none of those sites do not fingerprint or analyze the uploads to see if they contain copyrighted works or if the track title or artist match the recording.

If any label, artist, publisher, or songwriter wants to be sure they are collecting on all uses and streams of their music, it is up to them to scan the billions of pieces of content and find their copyrighted work, often hidden behind covers, remixes, interpolations, and recordings from live events.

As a label or publisher, can we simply order SongSweep and utilize our current infrastructure for distribution, administration and collections?

Yes, in cases where there is a team in place to manage catalog data, enrich the catalog with new tracks and works SongSweep locates, register and claim those works, and audit the royalties thereafter to ensure the pipes are running smooth; a subscription to SongSweep is the answer.

Can anyone sign up for RoyaltyAmp Songsweep?

Yes. SongSweep operates on an annual subscription running four times per year. Subscription programs begin at $299 annually.

Can anyone sign up for RoyaltyAmp Publishing Administration?

No. The process of mining, analysis, and enrichment requires significant technology. The registration, assertion of rights, collections and audits of publishing royalty payments is performed by RoyaltyAmp’s highly experienced team and set of partners. Due to our investment in client’s catalog management and collections, we can only accept publishers and self-published songwriters whose catalog generates at least $5,000 in publishing royalties.
